Interesting look at who owns which products on our high streets.
James Hotham
I grew up with James in the small cotswold town of Malmesbury where neither of us seemed to take a huge amount of interest in photography (I could be wrong, there’s often a subterfuge darkroom in stories like these). After completing a degree and masters in psychology, James dashed off to Asia and spent the next few years painstakingly mastering the fineries of tone and composition on his beautiful manual Leica.James’ new website has just launched with a series of stunning black and white photo essays from some of the areas that he has been living in and exploring. Do go and have a look at his work, I suspect we’ll see a lot more from James in the coming years.
Emily and the Woods- Sweetest Taboo (Dreamland Sessions)
Here is a beautiful acoustic version of Emily and the Woods covering Sade’s Sweetest Taboo. Brilliant in every way.
Heard this on Radio 1 on Friday night and it got me throwing all sorts of shapes behind the steering wheel. Sweet Bass line and 2 step vibes! The guys who are Disclosure are only 20 and 17! Talented motherfuckers….
Communion Jam at SXSW 2021- Over the Hill (John Martyn cover)
This is a brilliant cover version by some of my favorite artist including Ben Lovett from Mumford and Sons, Michael Kiwanuka, Ben Howard, The Staves and Bears Den. I didn’t realise this song could get any more beautiful. What great talent in one room!
Saw this from the UK Youth Climate Coalition and thought it was appropriate
Check out this blog! Why wasn’t anyone panic buying bikes?
